Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Crew Member specializing in Metal Fabrication and Welding to join our mobile construction and installation team. In this role, you will travel to various regional job sites to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair structural steel, equipment, and custom metal components. This is a hands-on position requiring technical welding expertise, mechanical problem-solving, and a dedication to safety.
Core Responsibilities Field Installation:
Install structural steel beams, handrails, staircases, piping systems, and heavy industrial machinery according to project specifications.
On-Site Welding:
Perform high-quality welds (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick) in a variety of outdoor environments and physical positions (overhead, vertical, flat).
Fabrication & Modification:
Cut, torch, grind, and fit metal components on-site to resolve fitment issues or make modifications on the fly.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret structural blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, site-specific safety protocols, and proper PPE utilization at all times.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of professional welding and steel fabrication experience, preferably in field construction or industrial environments.
Welding Skills:
Proven proficiency in MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes.
License & Travel:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a willingness to travel to rotating daily/weekly job sites.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on feet for long shifts, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights or in confined spaces. This is not an entry level position.
