ABOUT THE
ROLEAll duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as team member. This is a Day shift position.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Uses a variety of tools and equipment to support production operations, such as shovels, brooms, bobcats, forklifts, levels, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers and water spraying equipment. Aggregate plant skilled labor welder involves the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of Portable Crushing Equipment, Conveyors, industrial machinery. Responsible to install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls. Responsible to Maintain and Complete welding repairs to Crushing equipment.Operator Functions:
- Maintenance Welders will position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery. Operate machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul,maintenance or set-up of machinery.Troubleshooting:
Maintenance Welders inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.Maintenance:
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High School/GED Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work holidays, weekends various shifts and overtime as directed. Uses shovels or mechanical equipment to remove excess material from beneath the plant. Loads and delivers materials. Performs light maintenance Lubricates parts. Travel through a Aggregate plant, i.e. walk over obstacles, climb stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirators etc.). The employee will at times be exposed to extremely hot/cold, dusty, noisy, or dark situations. At times, work will be performed at great heights or in small confined spaces. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
