Journeyman Millwright Location:

Manufacturing & Packaging Shift:
1st Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Journeyman Millwright to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our packaging facility, ensuring that our packaging systems operate at peak efficiency. You aren't just "fixing machines"; you are optimizing a complex mechanical ecosystem where precision is the difference between a productive shift and a total standstill. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day will involve a mix of reactive troubleshooting and rigorous preventative maintenance:
Installation & Alignment:
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to install, move, or dismantle machinery. Use precision tools (lasers, dial indicators) to align motors, shafts, and couplings.
Mechanical Repair:
Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pumps, packaging equipment, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Welding & Fabrication:
Perform structural repairs and custom equipment modifications using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled inspections and lubrication routes to identify wear-and-tear before it leads to failure.
Precision Work:
Replace bearings, bushings, and seals with a high degree of accuracy to minimize vibration and extend equipment life.
Emergency Response:
Provide rapid-response support for "line down" situations to minimize downtime in the packaging hall.
Required Qualifications Certification:
Valid Journeyman Millwright card or equivalent Red Seal certification.
Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (packaging, food/beverage, or pharma experience is a major plus).
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and CAD drawings. Strong knowledge of industrial hydraulics and pneumatics. Basic electrical troubleshooting (480v) and familiarity with PLC-controlled systems.

Soft Skills & Physical Requirements Analytical Thinking:
You enjoy the "puzzle" of diagnosing a mechanical failure.
Physical Agility:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces or at heights.
