thyssenkrupp integrated its Forging & Machining and Undercarriage businesses to start the new business unit Forged Technologies. With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry. PSM Group Leader for thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company, LLC in Danville, Illinois . 10% domestic travel.

Duties include:

Direct and oversee the purchasing organization and material/production planning; lead supply chain activities designed to optimize operating unit and ensure all related projects, cost reduction initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's policies and objectives; identify competitive strategies and evaluate, adjust, or redraft the organization's supply chain programs accordingly; direct Buyers, supervise PSM shared services personnel, and coordinate activities between groups; review organization unit purchasing agreements; define and review the performance of assigned KPIs and manage the budget for his purchasing team; oversee supplier management, and negotiate all major agreement terms and vendor agreements; communicate with line operators about production issues and meeting customer requests; lead shutdowns from a Supply Chain perspective; and responsible for onboarding new plants in terms of material/production planning and purchasing.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent foreign degree. 2 years of experience in a Buyer, Supply Chain, or Logistics position, or in a related role in heavy duty on and off-road diesel crankshaft manufacturing industry. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: procurement of direct materials, including negotiating with suppliers of materials and services, and handling activities related to the purchase of CNC machines and equipment, and expendable and returnable packaging to be used for delivering parts; leading strategic sourcing activities for Maintenance Repair and Operating Inventory materials, services, and components using SAP purchasing system; negotiating terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with logistics and transportation suppliers, optimizing procurement costs for forged and machined crankshafts; collaborating with product engineers to align sourcing strategies for technical compliance.

Salary:

$89,627-$95,000 per year.
