Mechanical Technician 3rd shift AWS/CES is looking for a Mechanical Technician for our automotive manufacturing client
Location:
Fort Wayne, IN Pay rate: up to $36.50/hr
Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician who can troubleshoot mechanical and industrial equipment, identify problems, and perform effective repairs and maintenance. Candidates with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and related skilled trades experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have direct experience in every aspect of the position. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose equipment issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and implement effective repairs. Perform inspections, adjustments, installations, and maintenance of manufacturing and automated equipment. Follow established safety procedures, maintenance standards, and site-specific protocols while completing all work. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support equipment reliability, production goals, and continuous improvement initiatives . Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following: Possess a U.S. Department of Labor Journeyman Certificate of Completion in a related skilled trade; OR Have a minimum of 6 years of related skilled trades experience in the applicable trade.
