Job Description

  • Job Title: Millwright
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and structural steel, with a strong emphasis on rigging, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.

You will safely lift and position equipment, perform fabrication work, and complete installations at client sites using a variety of industrial tools and lifting equipment. The position requires flexibility to work overtime and travel out of town for installation projects.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Safely rig, lift, and position structural steel and industrial equipment during installation projects.

+ Perform stick welding, wire-feed welding, bolting, and fabrication work to support equipment and structural installations.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to perform accurate structural layouts and equipment installations.

+ Install cranes, hoists, conveyors, and other material handling equipment in industrial environments.

+ Complete final electrical hookups for installed equipment and perform electrical troubleshooting as needed.

+ Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and mobile cranes to move and position materials and equipment.

+ Conduct industrial maintenance tasks, including repair and installation of mechanical and electrical components.

+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation.

+ Travel to client sites to perform installations, maintenance, and repair work, often working in varied environments and conditions.

+ Work overtime when required to meet project schedules and support critical installation and maintenance activities.

+ Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights, around heavy equipment, and in industrial settings.

+ Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate work and ensure project requirements are met.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proven rigging experience with the ability to safely lift and position structural steel and industrial equipment.

+ Strong welding skills, including stick welding, wire-feed welding, bolting, and fabrication work.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings for structural layout and equipment installation.

+ Hands-on experience with installation and repair of industrial equipment in manufacturing or industrial environments.

+ Electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with final electrical hookups for installed equipment.

+ Proficiency operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and mobile cranes.

+ Industrial maintenance background with experience in repair and install work.

+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues in industrial settings.

+ Willingness and ability to work overtime and travel out of town for installation projects.

+ Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, drive, read, and communicate effectively throughout the workday.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Welding certification demonstrating proficiency in industrial welding practices.

+ Experience installing cranes, hoists, conveyors, or other material handling equipment. + background in industrial maintenance, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment.

+ Comfort working in various environments and changing working conditions at client sites.

+ Commitment to safety and adherence to industrial safety standards and procedures.

  • Work Environment
  • This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.

m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime required to meet project demands. Work is primarily performed at client sites, so regular travel is expected and you should be comfortable working in various environments and conditions. The role involves frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, driving, reading, and communicating, as well as working around industrial equipment, structural steel, and material handling systems. You will use scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and mobile cranes in active industrial settings where safety procedures and appropriate work attire are essential.

  • The pay range for this position is $58240.

00 - $66560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
