Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Support Technician Department:
Maintenance Hoehn Plastics, Inc. is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Industrial Maintenance Support Technician to join our Maintenance team. This is a developmental, hands-on position designed for someone interested in building skills in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication. You'll work alongside experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians while supporting preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and fabrication throughout our manufacturing operations. Position Details Full-Time Monday-Friday Overtime as Needed Compensation Starting pay based on experience and qualifications Performance-based pay reviews at 90 days and annually What You'll Do As an Industrial Maintenance Support Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience while supporting the Maintenance team with a variety of equipment and facility needs, including: Assist with preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and troubleshooting. Support maintenance of shredders, grinders, material processing systems, and equipment used in blending, compounding, and pelletizing operations. Perform basic maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and component replacement under supervision. Assist with forklift, trailer, and material-handling equipment maintenance and inspections. Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for maintenance and fabrication work. Assist with welding and fabrication, including cutting, grinding, fitting, and material preparation. Support the fabrication of guards, brackets, frames, and other components. Assist with interpreting basic drawings, sketches, and work instructions. Use the computerized work-order system for assigned task tracking and completion updates. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow established safety and lockout/tagout requirements. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is interested in developing a career in industrial maintenance. Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic technical documentation. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and shop equipment. Reliable and punctual attendance. Interest in developing skills in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, and welding/fabrication. Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, construction, or mechanical work is preferred. Exposure to welding or fabrication is beneficial but not required. Familiarity with industrial equipment or forklift operations is a plus. Technical school coursework in maintenance, welding, or industrial trades is preferred but not required. Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position within warehouse and heavy industrial manufacturing environments. The role requires extended standing, climbing stairs and ladders, working at elevated heights, and frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Team members must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. The work environment may include exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, forklift traffic, welding activities, and industrial processing equipment.
