Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing Greenhouse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, with expertise in various systems including HVAC/R, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. We are open 7 days a week. This position will be required to work one day on the weekend. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities. Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service and support for equipment issues. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems effectively. Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Assist in the training of new staff on maintenance procedures and safety practices. Experience Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems, hydraulics, and welding techniques. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Previous experience in field service roles is advantageous. Military experience related to industrial maintenance or electrical work is a plus. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
