The Lease Operator/Pumper, reporting to assigned Field Supervisor, is responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring peak efficiency and reliability of Production Equipment, Injection/Disposal Equipment and Safety processes. This position prepares, maintains, and submits daily reports and records of daily oil volumes, injection/disposal Volumes, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc. Develops and applies an understanding of lease issues. Strong personal commitment to safety and protecting the environment in all activities. This role requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of oil and gas and be capable of troubleshooting various production and injection systems. The role requires basic and some advanced skills to perform routine and complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Report daily production. Confirm all production/injection wells and production facilities are in functioning order. Run daily pumper routes to check tank gauges, maintain equipment. Perform operational checks of assigned wells, equipment, facilities and make repairs as needed Perform lease maintenance such as pumping unit and production equipment repairs and adjustments Conduct production tests and perform repairs Witness gauging and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets as required Represent the company in delivery/receipt of materials and equipment Maintain regulatory, environmental and safety compliance in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Field Supervisors and other designated individuals Secure and maintain all company equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected Provide field wide contact with all personnel in the event of emergency or other significant occurrences Maintain facilities painting, general upkeep, vegetation control, road maintenance etc. Maintain positive relationships with local, state, and Federal representatives and surface owners Train newly hired and/or less experienced lease operators Maximize profitability of assigned wells Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent. Must have valid state issued driver license with acceptable motor vehicle records (MVR); Class A or B CDL a plus/preferred. Experience in different wells including beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), water injection, and water disposal. Experience in different facilities including production tank batteries, flowlines, water injection plants and water disposal facilities. Required three (3) years of Lease Operator/Pumping experience Working knowledge of basic service mechanical functions. Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 75 lbs. Ability to access the work environment by use of a ladder at heights of 50 ft. or more. Long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching or similar activities may be necessary. Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required; potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery. Must be able to travel as job requires. Work may be performed in all weather conditions. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written; English preferred. Ability to interact with others in a team environment and work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once. Basic problem solving and organizational skills. Working Conditions Work primarily at job site performing work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to extreme cold, heat, and noise depending upon project site; and may also include the following: dust, fumes, chemicals, and/or other harsh/hazardous solvents or disinfectants electrical components, power lines, or other electrical hazards rebar, blades, or other sharp objects/tools high elevations, trenches, or crawl spaces Possible travel locally during the work day between jobsites, although some out-of-area travel may be expected with seldom overnight travel. Work irregular hours to include nights and weekends. Non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours can be expected.
