Overview:
This is an intern level position. Intern will gain practical, hands-on experience in the utility industry under close supervision. This position will provide challenging assignments, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn from experienced energy industry professionals.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment. Learn the proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work. Assist employees in carrying out work assignments. Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area. Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches. Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI)
POSS/MASS
test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field. Applicable degree fields include Engineering and Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology, or a related field. Minimum 2.50 GPA.
