Bossier City, LAJOB SUMMARY A
Shop Technician will provide shop and field location maintenance and troubleshooting support for I&E, MPD, and RCD field operatives. Maintain all MPD and RCD equipment as well as safely and efficiently rigging up and down all equipment. Maintain and keep Stasis and client quality, health, safety and environment systems compliance.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities are inclusive, but not limited to the items listed below.- Repair and maintain equipment used in oil and gas production and drilling operations, including pumps, motors, generators, and compressors.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify problems and develop repair plans.
- Assemble, and test equipment components and systems in a workshop setting.
- Communicate with Facility Manager to order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in diagnosing equipment failures and pulling choke apart when necessary to clean and service
- Take initiative and work independently during downtime
- Ability to identify choke and RCD components
- Repair RCD bearings and chokes in a workshop environment
- Pull and stage inventory and assets for upcoming jobs
- Operate a forklift safely
- Assist with maintaining workshop cleanliness
- Work with the Facility Manager to continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Maintain positive communication with all personnel on site
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and procedures
GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to
ISO 9001
2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS Objectives.- Recognize the difference between and HSE and Service Quality Event
- Submit Observations/Hazard Cards in accordance to HSE Policy
- Understand hazards and requirements in Stasis JSA's
- Demonstrate an understanding of reporting process for HSE events
- Complete required HSE Training in a timely manner
- Understand the process for reporting a Service Quality Event at Stasis
- Able to successfully meet pre-employment testing requirements which may include, without limitation, pre-employment drug and alcohol test(s) and background checks as well as drug and/or alcohol testing periodically during employment (subject to state and federal laws)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Strong communication in English (Both Verbal and Written)

- Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment which includes working around constantly moving overhead machinery, being in close proximity to loud equipment and handling potentially hazardous materials

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to repetitively climb steep stairs and lift / carry 50+ pounds independently
- Able to stay alert and focused for 12+ hours while performing repetitive and routine activities including but not limited to walking, standing, or sitting
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl throughout the tour work shift
- Ability to use heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools
- Able to work closely with others in a confined area and live together in crew quarters
- Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English as well as understand and promptly follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations working 12+ hour shifts that can include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear vision to judge near and far distances
- Able to accurately recall information over short and long-term time periods
