Job Description

GAC Chemical Corporation in Searsport, Maine is hiring an experienced industrial maintenance technician to join our team. This is a journeyman-level position in a chemical manufacturing facility. You will be working independently and leading less experienced team members on a variety of maintenance tasks. If you have broad trade skills and experience in an industrial or plant setting, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing journeyman-level work in at least three trade disciplines such as millwright, pipefitting, welding, electrical, instrumentation, machining, rigging, or carpentry Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and maintenance problems across the facility Directing the work of junior maintenance staff as needed Performing manual adjustments and routine servicing on steam boilers Carrying out maintenance tasks safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Journeyman-level experience in at least three industrial maintenance trade areas Maine High Pressure Boiler Operator License required Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial plant setting preferred Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, and maintenance manuals Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Pay:
From $28.64 per hour
