Grand Industrial is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to support industrial maintenance, equipment installation, conveyor projects, and plant shutdowns throughout Indiana and Michigan. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled professional who enjoys troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment. Strong welding skills are required , and conveyor installation experience is highly preferred. You'll work on long-term projects, including ongoing work at the Clemens Food Group processing facility and multiple conveyor installation projects throughout the region.

Hours:

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with weekend work and overtime available. Responsibilities Install, assemble, align, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Install and modify conveyor systems, including layout, assembly, alignment, welding, and field adjustments. Perform MIG, FCAW, Stick, and TIG welding to support equipment repairs, structural modifications, and installations. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and schematics. Install bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, pulleys, sprockets, chains, and other mechanical systems. Perform equipment alignment using precision measuring tools. Rig, move, and position machinery using forklifts, hoists, cranes, chain falls, and rigging equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns. Use hand tools, power tools, torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company and customer safety policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Conveyor Installer, or Industrial Maintenance Technician. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience installing and repairing industrial machinery. Welding experience with MIG, FCAW, Stick, or TIG processes. Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals. Experience installing or repairing conveyor systems is a major plus. Experience working in food processing, manufacturing, or industrial facilities preferred. Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, conveyors, power transmission systems, and rigging. Forklift, aerial lift, crane, or rigging experience is preferred. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in industrial environments.
