work instructions and training Read and follow all job related work instructions. Observe & follow all safety procedures and guidelines when performing work to avoid injury to self and other employees Daily inspections of plant and machinery specifically bearings, gear reducers, belts, couplings, and alignment and repair of same including completion of daily check list Rebuild equipment as needed Maintain shot blasts and associated equipment (Dust Collectors etc.) Make necessary building repairs Install new equipment as needed Fabricate from wood or steel any new or replacement equipment from design drawings or instruction Ability to weld and do layout work as well as torch cutting Provide own tools (personal hand tools) Repair yard cranes (except electrical) Must have ability to complete rigging tasks Must have basic computer skills for work order entry and completion Must be able to obtain a forklift and/or man-lift licenses from safety department Background Profile High School Diploma or equivalent Candidate must have at a minimum a Journeyman Card or 6 years of practical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility #Kendallville
