Job Description

Job Overview At Sappington Crude Oil Inc., you will perform the duties of a pumper, roustabout, and rig hand. These duties primarily include starting and maintaining electric/internal combustion motors to power oil pumping units (oil wells), monitor the fluid level inside oil tanks, and maintain the areas around wells and tanks. Employees are also required to fix/maintain different machines, tools, roadways, etc. Employees may also be required to work on our rig, servicing the wells which involves working with steel pipe, often suspended by cable. This job is performed outdoors at all times of the year, and includes significant manual labor. Applicants must be comfortable outdoors, around heavy machinery, and be physically able to use handtools for labor (i.e. digging a hole with a shovel), climb ladders/structures, and lift object weighing over 50 lbs. Applicants must be 18 years old at minimum with a valid drivers license. Requirements
  • Able to work ~45 hours/week
  • Comfortable working outdoors regardless of weather
  • Able to work around heavy machinery and volatile substances
  • Aged 18 years or older
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to/from work
  • Physically capable of manual labor including lifting/pulling/turning heavy objects Preferred (but not Required) Skills & Certifications
