Field Installer Gymnasium Equipment
Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Field Installer to join our installation team. You'll travel to schools, arenas, and facilities across Minnesota and western Wisconsin to install gymnasium equipment in new construction and renovation projects. Much of the work is done overhead from scissor lifts and boom lifts: mounting basketball backstops, divider curtains, and other equipment to building structure. If you have a construction background, a strong mechanical aptitude, and you're comfortable working at heights, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Install ceiling-hung and wall-mounted basketball backstops, winches, and height adjusters. Install gym divider curtains, volleyball systems, wall padding, and other athletic equipment. Mount equipment to structural steel, joists, and walls using proper framing, bracing, rigging, and fastening methods. Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely for extended overhead work. Assist with installing telescoping bleachers, operable panel walls, and seating as needed. Read and work from shop drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer installation instructions. Coordinate with general contractors, site supervisors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule. Complete punch lists and final walkthroughs, and demonstrate equipment operation to customers. Keep a clean, safe job site and follow all company and site safety requirements. Handle other tasks as needed to support the team and keep projects on track. What We're Looking For Construction experience preferred (commercial construction, steel erection, carpentry, millwright, or a similar trade). Strong mechanical background, comfortable with assembly, alignment, fasteners, cables, and moving mechanical systems. Comfortable working at heights. Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts strongly preferred (training and certification provided). Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements. Experience with power tools, welding, drilling into steel and concrete, and rigging. Basic electrical knowledge helpful for motorized equipment.

Competitive pay and benefits (health insurance, retirement, PTO; details provided on request), plus the satisfaction of building facilities that communities use every day.
