As a Mechanic I in our Houston Machine Shop, you'll disassemble, rebuild, and test moderate to highly complex equipment that supports a 22,000-unit installed base. If you've got mechanical instincts, a sharp eye for detail, and take safety seriously, we want you on our team.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex equipment. Use a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment for disassembly, assembly, and testing tasks. Conduct risk assessments before performing operations and material movements. Set up and run test operations following engineering specifications. Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment. Interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications to guide your work. Ensure facility equipment and tooling stay operational, efficient, and safe. Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations. Complete required business training and documentation accurately. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, adhering to all EHS policies.WHO YOU ARE
High School Diploma orGED. 0-2
years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and other physical activity. Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications. Valid driver's license. Knowledgeable in safety regulations and good housekeeping practices. Basic math skills and the ability to read schematics. Familiar with common tools and equipment operation. Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. A team player who can also work independently to engineering specifications, with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.PREFERRED
2+ years of experience in operations or service center applications. Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment.WHY JOIN US
