Job Summary:

The Tooling Technician/Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all machinery and support equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), troubleshooting issues, and completing necessary repairs. This role is vital in maintaining continuous production and upholding high standards of quality and safety within the manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machines according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain high-quality work standards to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot and maintain robotic equipment. Source and negotiate pricing for repair parts with vendors. Coordinate with technical support from equipment manufacturers as needed. Perform and document PM and repairs on secondary (auxiliary) equipment. Handle plant-wide electrical and plumbing maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of spare parts inventory and order necessary components. Perform tool preventative maintenance as time allows. Operate metalworking equipment (cutting, welding, drilling, milling) to fabricate or repair parts. Provide and maintain personal tools required to perform job duties. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in injection molding. Strong troubleshooting skills for injection molding machines and tooling. Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical issues. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Good communication and organizational skills. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
