Logo Job Summary FerrouSouth, a leading steel processor located in Yellow Creek Port on the Tennessee River in Iuka, Mississippi, is currently hiring Industrial Equipment Technicians for immediate openings on both day and night shifts (night shift includes a shift differential). Physical Requirements Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching Function in the Job Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function Perform Preventive Maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and adjustments on industrial machinery to minimize unscheduled downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and improve productive performance. Diagnose and repair malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Follow all safety regulations and procedures. Document maintenance activities and repairs. Collaborate with other departments (customers), such as engineering or operations, to identify and implement solutions for improvement or safety. Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies. Train and mentor others in the group as team member. #ZR Required Skills Industrial Electrical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot from 480 down to control circuits or components (valves, solenoids, motors, etc.). Ability to read electrical schematic knowledge a must. PLC code knowledge is not required; ability to understand I/O and power supplies is a plus. Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or completed education in Industrial Maintenance. Willing to develop and improve on multi-craft skills (electrical, controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication & welding, etc.). Must have own tools and a job box. Company provides larger tools in group box. Self-motivated, capable of identifying and prioritizing tasks without direct supervision Effective communication and documentation skills.
