Job Description
Position Summary Hearth and Fireplace Service Technician The Hearth and Fireplace Service Technician is responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of fireplaces, gas logs, inserts, stoves, and other hearth products. This position works closely with the Hearth Project Manager to ensure quality workmanship, safe installations, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The technician will have direct interaction with customers throughout the installation and service process and serves as a professional representative of the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install gas, wood-burning, and electric hearth products according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hearth products and related components. Communicate installation and service updates to the Hearth Project Manager. Accurately measure installation areas and verify project requirements. Able to read installation manuals Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively. Work from ladders and elevated surfaces as required. Perform rooftop work when necessary for venting and chimney-related installations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Complete required paperwork, service reports, and installation documentation. Educate customers on product operation, maintenance, and safety procedures. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications and Job Requirements Experience in the hearth, fireplace, HVAC, construction, propane, or related industry preferred.( Training will be provided for the right candidate ) Ability to take and record accurate measurements. General construction experience required. Framing, carpentry, gas piping, or venting experience preferred. Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employee must be Dependable with reliable transportation and a good driving record Team and Customer oriented Willing to learn Mechanically inclined Flexible and willing to work overtime as needed
