Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Millwright in the Monroe area to install, maintain, and repair complex industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with heavy rigging, structural welding, and custom metal fabrication to keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Rigging & Heavy Lifting:
Safely operate cranes, hoists and slings to lift, move, and position heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
Welding & Fabrication:
Perform structural and maintenance welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick) to fabricate, repair, or modify machine parts, brackets, and structural steel components.
Equipment Installation & Alignment:
Read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics to assemble, level, and align equipment with precise tolerances.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspect machinery for wear, and diagnose mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Compliance:
Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and facility protocols while operating in high-noise and potentially confined industrial environment
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional Millwright or heavy industrial mechanical experience. Experienced working in a production or manufacturing setting Strong hands on mechanical troubleshooting experience Advanced proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), metal fabrication, and heavy equipment rigging are required Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layout plans, and technical manuals. OSHA 10/30, Crane/Rigging Certification, or AWS welding certifications - is a plus Ability to perform the following physical activities: stooping, stairs, reaching, standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Must be able to work a long term contract role and occasional weekend hours
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
