Conveyor Belt Technician (Entry-Level to Experienced) Full-Time | Travel Required | Paid Training | Industrial Field Service Build a Career That Keeps Industry Moving Do you enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical problems, and working in a team environment? LGG Industrial is seeking Conveyor Belt Technicians to join our growing Field Service team. Whether you're an experienced belt splicer or a mechanically inclined individual looking to start a rewarding trade, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed. In this role, you'll install, splice, maintain, and repair conveyor belt systems for customers in industries such as manufacturing, mining, aggregates, and bulk material handling. Every day is different as you travel to customer sites, troubleshoot equipment, and help keep critical operations running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do As a Conveyor Belt Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians performing field service at customer locations.
Responsibilities include:
Install, splice, and repair conveyor belts using mechanical, cold, and vulcanized splicing methods. Perform conveyor belt installation and replacement projects. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems and conveyor components. Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues on industrial equipment. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized conveyor equipment. Read work orders, job scopes, and installation specifications. Provide professional customer service while working at manufacturing, mining, quarry, and industrial facilities. Travel to customer job sites and work overtime, evenings, or weekends as business needs require. Maintain compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and all company safety standards. Support warehouse and field service operations as needed. What We're Looking For We're looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude who enjoy working outdoors and in industrial environments.
Ideal candidates have:
Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools. Experience with conveyor maintenance, conveyor repair, or industrial maintenance (preferred). Belt splicing experience (mechanical, cold, or vulcanized) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel regularly and work overtime. Minimum Qualifications At least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and successfully complete a DOT physical (or possess a current DOT Medical Card). Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in manufacturing, mining, and industrial environments. Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as required. Ability to pass background screening, drug screening, and physical examination when required. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is highly valued: Conveyor Belt Technician Belt Splicing Conveyor Maintenance Conveyor Repair Industrial Maintenance Mechanical Technician Field Service Technician Millwright Maintenance Mechanic Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manufacturing Maintenance Mining Equipment Hydraulics Mechanical Systems Preventive Maintenance OSHA 10, MSHA, First Aid/CPR certifications, and industrial maintenance experience are a plus but not required.
