This role is essential in safely lifting, hoisting, and setting equipment, structural steel, and metal building components for agricultural, industrial, and manufacturing projects across the region. If you have strong crane operation and rigging experience and enjoy working on complex installs that require precision and teamwork, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with a company that values safety, quality, and craftsmanship. What You'll Do Operate cranes to safely lift, move, and set equipment, conveyors, structural steel, and other materials required for millwright and metal building projects. Assist with rigging activities, including selecting, inspecting, and setting up slings, chains, chokers, and other rigging gear. Work closely with Millwright crews to support equipment installation, alignment, and placement. Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and safety checks. Communicate clearly with signalpersons, foremen, and crew members to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations. Follow all OSHA, NCCCO, and company safety protocols on every project. Support other field operations and equipment needs as assigned. What You'll Bring Minimum 3 years of crane operating experience (industrial, millwright, agricultural, or metal building environments preferred). Strong rigging knowledge and experience with complex lifts. Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent strongly preferred). Understanding of load charts, lift plans, and safe hoisting procedures. Ability to work outdoors and at heights as needed for project conditions. Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting and inspections. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
