If that sounds like you, you may fit in here better than you think. What You'll Bring to the Crew You'll use your powder coating experience while continuing to develop your skills. You'll prep materials correctly, apply coatings to accepted industry standards, learn the ins and outs of commercial-grade powder equipment, and make sure the finished product is something you're willing to put your name behind. You'll also: Prep materials and jobs for coating Perform hand-tool and surface preparation Take blast-profile and coating-thickness readings Learn and operate commercial-grade powder guns and their settings Apply powder coatings consistently and to industry standards Determine the appropriate tools and application methods for the job Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other shop equipment Assist with other shop-floor operations when the crew needs you Maintain tools, equipment, and your work area Identify opportunities to improve tools, equipment, and processes Follow proper safety and hazardous-waste procedures Perform basic equipment maintenance Show up consistently, on time, and ready to contribute What It Takes Previous powder coating or related experience is a plus. More importantly, we're looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and proud of their work. You should be comfortable using hand and power tools and capable of working independently while still being a strong teammate. This is physical shop work. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted , spend extended periods standing on concrete, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally work at heights or in confined spaces. Our shop is not air-conditioned , so you need to be comfortable working around heat, cold, dust, and changing conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. English, U.S. work authorization, and a valid driver's license are required. The normal schedule is Monday-Friday , with weekends and overtime when needed. What You Get in
