Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Pay Range:
$24.00-$28.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications Position Summary Northeast Precast is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Set Crew Department. This position travels with the Set Crew to construction sites and performs welding and related fieldwork during the installation of precast concrete products. Responsibilities Perform stick welding in the field using appropriate welding techniques. Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and welding specifications. Cut, fit, align, and weld metal components according to project requirements. Inspect completed welds and identify defects requiring correction. Assist the Set Crew with the installation of precast concrete products. Safely operate or work around aerial lifts and other lifting equipment. Perform welding at elevated heights using required fall-protection equipment. Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe working condition. Follow all Company, OSHA, jobsite, and customer safety requirements. Travel to field locations when required by the project. Required Qualifications Previous professional stick welding experience is required . Experience welding in field or construction environments. Experience using aerial lifts or similar lifting equipment. Ability and willingness to work safely at elevated heights. Ability to weld in multiple positions, including vertical and overhead. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. Experience using grinders, saws, squares, clamps, and other welding tools. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule based on project needs. Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew. AWS certification is preferred but not required. Schedule and Travel This is a full-time position. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, overtime, early starts, extended shifts, weekends, and out-of-state travel may be required depending on project needs.
