Job Description

Molten Salt Solutions is an advanced energy startup in Santa Fe New Mexico. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Assistant to support the construction, assembly, maintenance, and operation of our chemical processing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and being part of a small, collaborative team building first-of-a-kind technology.
The position will involve:
Deburring, sanding, and cleaning machined parts Assisting with machine and equipment assembly Performing routine equipment maintenance, including oil changes, air filter changes, and equipment cleaning Collecting and properly disposing of used oil and other shop waste Assisting with shipping container fabrication and material handling Performing basic plumbing, including copper pipe sweating and leak checking Assembling piping systems using sanitary fittings Assembling tubing systems using Swagelok fittings Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop and work areas Assisting engineers, technicians, and other team members with shop and equipment projects

Responsibilities may shift over time to support the company's growth and changing priorities. We are looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and eager to learn. Previous experience in a machine shop, fabrication, plumbing, manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial environment is helpful but not required. Experience using hand and power tools, working with piping or tubing, or performing equipment maintenance is a plus. Hours have the potential to be flexible depending on the needs of the job at hand. The job will require on-site work in our facilities on the South side of Santa Fe. Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
