Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Millwrights to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in mining and heavy industrial environments. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, align, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, fans, crushers, and other mining equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Perform precision measurements to ensure equipment is properly aligned and within tolerances Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential mechanical issues Utilize proper rigging and lifting techniques to move heavy equipment Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Adhere to all company and MSHA safety regulations and procedures Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and safety personnel
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of experience as a millwright in an industrial or mining setting preferred Familiarity with MSHA regulations and previous MSHA training/certification preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Capable of working in physically demanding environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights, variable weather conditions) Strong commitment to safety and quality Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
