Are you hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with tools? Are you looking for a stable company where you can learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career? Custom Glass is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Fabrication Technician to join our fabrication shop in Reno, NV. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may not have professional glazing experience but enjoys working with their hands, learning how things are built, and taking pride in doing quality work. No previous glazing experience is required. We will train the right person. Our goal is to develop successful employees in our fabrication shop and provide opportunities to advance into field glazing and other skilled positions as their knowledge, skills, and experience grow. About Custom Glass Family owned and operated since 1952, Custom Glass is a full-service glazing subcontractor serving Northern Nevada and the Sierras. We provide commercial and residential glass, glazing, doors, windows, automatic entrances, and specialty glass solutions. What You'll Learn & Do Learn commercial storefront & curtain wall processes Measure and mark materials Cut and prepare materials Assemble aluminum framing Work with glass and glazing materials Use hand and power tools Learn shop equipment and machinery Read measurements and basic drawings Prepare materials for field installation Maintain a clean, organized work area Follow safety procedures Work alongside experienced fabricators and glaziers What We're Looking For You don't need to know how to glaze—we can teach you the trade. We are looking for someone with: Mechanical aptitude Comfort with hand tools Basic power tool experience Good measurement skills Attention to detail Strong work ethic Dependability and punctuality Willingness to learn Positive team attitude Ability to follow instructions Good communication skills Ability to work safely Valid driver's license Drug-free Related Experience Is a Plus Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, carpentry, automotive, HVAC, electrical, welding, metal fabrication, window installation, or other skilled trades is helpful but not required.
