Competitive, Based on Skills & Experience Position Overview ZenTech Consulting is seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of industrial production equipment at a busy steel service center in Bedford Heights, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and working with a variety of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, or welding systems and be comfortable working independently while supporting a collaborative maintenance team. What You'll DoEquipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and production equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues. Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired components. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Clean, lubricate, adjust, and service bearings, gears, motors, and other machinery components. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and equipment fabrication. Assist with major equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance projects. Analyze equipment and work processes and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Safety & Reliability Schedule and complete preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Perform authorized Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during non-routine and major repairs. Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and established maintenance procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly use required PPE and follow all safety protocols. Team Support Work closely with production and maintenance team members to minimize downtime and meet operational goals. Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and maintenance needs effectively. Support housekeeping and facility maintenance activities. Assist with additional maintenance-related projects and responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For Previous experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or installation . Background in one or more skilled trades, including: Mechanical maintenance Electrical HVAC Plumbing Welding Fabrication Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with the following experience will stand out: 5+ years of industrial maintenance or related experience. Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics . Welding and fabrication experience. Knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, and electrical power. Experience troubleshooting or working with PLCs . Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and technical documentation. Experience maintaining flat-rolled steel processing equipment , including slitters and cut-to-length lines. Experience with general industrial machinery and lift trucks. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds . Ability to mount and dismount industrial equipment. Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods. Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments depending on weather and facility conditions. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to occasionally travel.
