Job Description

Full-Time | 50% Travel We are currently hiring a skilled Millwright / Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and process line equipment at customer facilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working independently on industrial equipment systems. Travel is approximately 50%, primarily local and regional, with technicians typically home daily. Candidates should be flexible and available for occasional short-notice service calls to help minimize customer downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic equipment calibrations Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair roll grinding and lathe equipment Travel to customer sites for scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls Diagnose and resolve mechanical equipment issues in the field Assemble and disassemble machinery, components, and subassemblies Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical work instructions Communicate professionally with customers, engineering teams, and coworkers Assist with in-house shop projects when not traveling Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Experience working with industrial machinery or manufacturing equipment Ability to work independently and manage field service responsibilities Comfortable with travel and occasional emergency service scheduling Blueprint reading and mechanical assembly experience Good communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Preferred Experience:
Field service or industrial maintenance background Millwright or machinery repair experience Experience with hydraulics, lubrication systems, piping, or electrical systems Manufacturing, process line, or heavy industrial equipment experience This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company offering hands-on technical work, varied job sites, and long-term career potential in industrial service and equipment support.
Pay:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
