Job Description
Education & Experience Requirements High School/GED and Valid Driver s License Required One-to-Two (1-2) Years Maintenance-Related Experience Required Twenty-four to Thirty-Six (24-36) Months On-The-Job Training Required Qualifications Dependability to be consistently at work and on time, with ability to work a flexible schedule as required Ability to read and comprehend written instructions; follow verbal directives; follow general and maintenance-specific safety procedures and guidelines Functional mathematical ability, including knowledge of fractions and decimals, to perform basic math calculations and measurement computing using tape measure and/or micrometers Functional mechanical knowledge with ability to develop good fabricating and troubleshooting skills, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems Working knowledge of operational functions for general maintenance equipment, including cranes, forklifts, milling machines, lathes, welding and cutting equipment, and hand/power tools Basic computer skills Team Member mentality with a QA/safety-oriented mindset when performing maintenance duties or operational instruction Self-motivational skills to perform duties without direct supervision, with ability to multitask and perform well under pressure Functional communication skills to interact with management, co-workers, and outside vendors Responsibilities Conduct a safety evaluation of the work area prior to performing maintenance actions. Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, routine maintenance, or preventive maintenance actions for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures. Maintenance actions include setup actions for product runs; troubleshooting, repairing, and installing machinery/equipment; calibrating and repairing pneumatic systems; inspection of belts, fluid levels, filters, bearings, seals, etc.; and providing corrective actions as required. Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, minor/major emergency repairs as required for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures. Perform at a training-level capacity, computerized control, and monitoring of mechanical equipment. Perform housekeeping actions adhering to post-maintenance/repair procedures.
