Job Description

Stimson Lumber Company is looking to add a PM Technician to their maintenance team at their Clatskanie mill. Preventative Maintenance Technicians are responsible for sawmill machine maintenance, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and oiling.
Schedule:
This is a swing shift position.
Starting Pay:
Base pay for this skilled position will start at $29.00 to $35.00 per hour. People with significant knowledge and experience may come in at a higher level.
Pay Differential:
We offer differential pay for swing shift and graveyard shift of $1.50-2.00 per hour.
Overtime:
This position is eligible for Overtime at time and a half.
Healthcare:
Stimson pays over 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision. 401(k): Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k)-retirement account.
Profit Sharing:
Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay.
Bonus:
This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable.
Paid Time-Off :
Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation. Paid sick leave is available up to 40 hours per year.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Daily oiling and lubing of machinery Maintaining correct oil levels in all plant hydraulic units Cleaning and maintaining compressor room Assisting Millwrights on equipment repairs Follow directions and effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel
Your Qualifications:
Minimum 3-months experience or experience in a production plant setting Possess a basic understanding of equipment and oiling required for equipment. Ideal candidate will have the aptitude for learning mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic). Proven ability to follow directions well and demonstrates thoroughness in completing oiling responsibilities. Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as needed Must be comfortable in year-round outdoor temperatures, loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipment Who is Stimson Lumber?
