Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts, and holidays Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements Troubleshooting experience Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders - physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stair, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending Ability to communicate effectively and constructively Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment Knowledge of Mig, Tig and Arc welding Machinist training and experience Stable employment history with a minimum two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocation/technical school certificate A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Basic knowledge of metal fabrication Basic knowledge of cylinder repair Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues Models company core values Preferred Qualifications Vocational or technical school certificate in related area Past employment experience in manufacturing environment Past employment in a plywood or veneer manufacturing facility Experience with CMMS Knowledge of fire protection systems Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems Excellent skills in root cause analysis Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance Team oriented Willing and able to learn new jobs and skills
