Job Description

Back Pump / Hydraulic Mechanic
  • 24849 Mechanic Contract 11633 Sep 28, 2026 Roseburg , Oregon We are seeking a Pump / Hydraulic Mechanic for assignment in Roseburg, Oregon. The selected candidate will perform major and minor repair work overhauling plant engines, motors, pumps and related equipment. Hours are Monday
  • Friday, 7:30am
  • 4:00pm
  • Candidates with a Limited Maintenance Electrician License (LME) are highly preferred
  • Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery and equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, lubrication, oil changes, meter readings, adjustments and other routine maintenance
  • Complete and document work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems
  • Repair and replace components including bearings, seals, packing, pumps, motors, valves and related equipment
  • Evaluate equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and prevent recurrence
  • Independently perform routine repairs and participate in complex major equipment repairs
  • Perform plumbing and pipe fitting tasks, including cleaning, repairing, replacing and installing piping and related components
  • Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, weld and fabricate components as qualified
  • Assist with the installation, setup and commissioning of new equipment
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations staff to support safe, reliable and uninterrupted treatment plant operations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation and work histories
  • Maintain an organized spare-parts inventory and assist in identifying critical replacement parts and inventory needs
  • Maintain facility, shop, equipment and work-area appearance and organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid Drivers License
  • 5+ years experience with valves, pumps, motors and mechanical equipment
  • A Limited Maintenance Electrician License (LME) is highly preferred Apply Now Share This Post
