Overview:

Minard Run Oil Company is currently looking for an experienced Rig Hand for our Bradford District. A Rig Hand is primarily responsible for maintaining the service rig and its equipment as well as the handling of heavy tools, power tools and heavy equipment. Specific tasks of a Rig Hand vary, but all tasks involve physically demanding work, working closely with other Team members and working in all types of extreme weather conditions. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Assists the service rig crew with manual tasks involved in setting up the rig on location, along with tearing down and moving the rig and equipment. Manually handles pipe, tubing and tools and is required to lift up to 100 pounds frequently. Pushing, pulling, twisting, bending and lifting frequently. Performs routine maintenance checks. Installs and repairs piping, valves, pumps and motors. Installs and repairs flow lines. Moves pipes, casing and rods. Assists in servicing rig engines and lines and helps with general equipment maintenance. Assists in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the rig. Maintains cleanliness of the rig and equipment, Performs general clean-up duties on well site locations. Performs additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Work where needed in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The specific minimum competencies required for job performance. Previous experience as a Rig Hand is required. Must posses the ability to handle heavy tools and equipment related to a service rig. Must possess the ability to perform strenuous manual labor and work in all types of weather conditions in a safe manner. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently. Must be able to work as part of a Team. A strong commitment to reliable attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment/clothing. Must observe and comply with Company safety rules and regulations.
