The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical expertise, with experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex machinery. This role involves working with programmable logic controllers, hydraulics, and precision measuring instruments to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing equipment. The Millwright will play a vital role in maintaining safety, efficiency, and reliability across our production lines, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates with military background or extensive industrial electrician experience are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English is required to facilitate effective communication within the team. The applicant will need to be able to weld and fabricate. This position also requires basic machinist skills. A candidate can be trained at a local skill center in the basic manual lathe, manual mill, and precision grinding skills. We have a 2 month daylight training program that we can send millwrights to for machinist training. The position at our plant has a need for a millwright that is willing to be trained in machinist skills to cover all the needs of the position we are hiring for. Responsibilities Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment according to schematics and technical specifications Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and analysis skills Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS data to identify root causes of equipment failures Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize machine performance Conduct welding operations including welding as needed for repairs or modifications Use precision measuring instruments for alignment and calibration tasks Work with high voltage systems safely, adhering to all safety protocols Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities using CMMS software Operate equipment such as scissor lifts for elevated work tasks Ability to address various issues with plant machinery or building maintenance. Experience Proven industrial mechanic or millwright experience within a manufacturing facility or similar environment Any basic machinist ability is a plus and would shorten basic machinist training needs. Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, low voltage electrical systems, and welding techniques Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and analysis instruments effectively Experience working with high voltage systems safely in accordance with industry standards extensive industrial electrician experience is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation and analysis skills Conduct inspection to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. Perform repair work and maintenance on various CNC and manual machines. Fabricate and install various fixtures and equipment as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. The company accepts applications for a hands-on individual with a skill set to develop and form shop tooling, fixtures and gauges to specific tolerances or blueprint requirements. Perform repairs and handle preventative maintenance services/troubleshooting to various spring making and shop floor equipment. Supports shop floor personnel by ensuring all plant equipment is operational. Maintenance equipment includes lathes, milling machine, surface grinder, drill presses, welders, and various power equipment. Sound judgement required when moving and installing equipment. Ability to repair or replace motors and diagnose or repair electrical problems. The job requires at times to work some Saturdays for projects that require a plant shutdown. One must always be available and willing to do, "whatever it takes", in their overall performance and conduct.
