Through the end of the year Millwright / Valve Technicians Job Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking experienced Millwright / Valve Technicians for a project at the Rhode Island State Energy Center in Johnston, Rhode Island. Technicians will support industrial maintenance activities involving mechanical equipment and industrial valves. This is a travel position with hotel accommodations provided , along with $50/day per diem and a $250 travel allowance each way .

Millwright / Valve

Technicians Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial mechanical equipment. Install, service, repair, and maintain various types of industrial valves. Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment and valve assemblies. Inspect equipment and components for wear, damage, leaks, and proper operation. Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance as required. Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and other mechanical tools safely. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment documentation, and work instructions. Assist with alignment, rigging, positioning, and installation of industrial equipment as needed. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify necessary repairs. Follow all applicable safety procedures, including OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete required documentation and communicate work status to supervisors. Work effectively as part of a maintenance team while maintaining a professional and safety-focused work environment.

Millwright / Valve

Technicians Qualifications Previous millwright and/or industrial mechanical maintenance experience required. Experience working with industrial valves strongly preferred. Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment. Experience using common hand and power tools. Ability to read mechanical drawings and work instructions. Rigging and equipment alignment experience is preferred. Ability to work safely in an industrial environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to travel and work on a project basis.
