A Millwright installs and assembles large industrial machines, such as the equipment in manufacturing facilities. Disassembles and moves machinery between factory sites, and makes repairs. May work at power plants and construction sites.

Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking dependable, skilled, and safety-driven Millwrights for industrial and mechanical projects with Cherokee Millwright. This position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy industrial machinery and mechanical systems in fast-paced industrial environments. We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, industrial experience, and the ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, assemble, align, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings Perform equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and precision alignments Work with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and rotating equipment Perform rigging and material handling operations safely Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, and welding equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs Work shutdowns, outages, and production maintenance projects Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety procedures Maintain clean and organized work areas Work effectively with supervisors, operators, welders, ironworkers, and other trades
REQUIREMENTS
Previous millwright, industrial maintenance, or mechanical installation experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings Experience with rigging, alignments, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and industrial equipment preferred Must have reliable transportation Must have basic hand tools for the trade Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments Comfortable working overtime, weekends, and shutdown schedules when needed Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is a plus
