Industrial Maintenance Technician Salary:
$62,400- 68,000 per year

6:00am-2:30pm We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining metal stamping presses and related coil-processing equipment. This position is ideal for a mechanically strong technician who is comfortable diagnosing equipment problems independently, making repairs quickly, and working in a hands-on metal manufacturing environment. Direct experience with stamping presses, recoilers/uncoilers, shears, and similar equipment is highly preferred. The facility is a traditional metal manufacturing environment with lower lighting in some production areas. The workforce is predominantly Spanish-speaking, so Spanish or bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful but not required. Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain stamping presses and related production equipment.
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on: Stamping presses, Recoilers and uncoilers, Shearing equipment, Leveling/straightening equipment, Coil-processing equipment, Lathes and machine shop equipment, Degreasing equipment, Air compressors, Other industrial manufacturing machinery.
- Diagnose equipment failures by observing machinery during operation and identifying mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues.
- Disassemble equipment and remove defective components using hoists, hand tools, and power tools.
- Repair or replace bearings, shafts, gears, motors, sensors, cylinders, belts, chains, and other mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, switches, controls, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
- Respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns and return machinery to operation safely.
- Fabricate, modify, or repair replacement parts using machine shop equipment when necessary.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of maintenance parts and communicate replacement-part needs.
- Document completed repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper lockout/tagout practices.
Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Previous industrial maintenance experience in a metal stamping, metal forming, coil processing, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting stamping presses strongly preferred.
- Experience with recoilers, uncoilers, shears, leveling equipment, or coil-processing machinery highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and machine shop equipment.
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures independently and determine the appropriate repair.
- Strong sense of urgency when responding to production downtime.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in an active metal manufacturing environment.
