Job Description

Job Summary The Mechanical Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and dismantling industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, align, and dismantle industrial machinery such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, compressors, and motors Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems Diagnose mechanical failures and troubleshoot equipment issues Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders Perform precision measurements and alignments using dial indicators, micrometers, and laser tools Weld, cut, grind, and fabricate components as required (MIG, TIG, Stick, oxy-fuel, plasma) Replace bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, belts, and chains Lubricate machinery and maintain lubrication systems Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs Collaborate with electricians, engineers, and operators Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs under time constraints Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred) 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Millwright or Industrial Mechanic Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics Ability to read technical drawings and schematics Experience with precision alignment and rotating equipment Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to work independently and in a team environment

$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
