Description:
Wallstreet Sand Co. is a leading West Texas frac sand producer delivering high-performance wet and dry sand solutions to the Permian Basin's oil and gas industry. Based in Kermit, Texas, the company was built with a clear focus on operational excellence, disciplined growth, and reliable in-basin supply. We are currently looking for a Millwright Mechanic. This position involves various mechanic and maintenance duties at the sand mine and plant.
Responsibilities include:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on specialized mining machinery, including conveyors, feeders, pumps and gearboxes. Inspect malfunctioning equipment, analyze vibrations or unusual noises, and read complex schematics, blueprints, or technical manuals to resolve issues. Conduct pre and post shift inspections of all equipment and machinery. Complete hazard assessments and follow MSHA and OSHA regulations. Use of precision tools to align rotating equipment, shafts, motors and couplings to prevent excessive wear and downtime. Perform cutting, grinding, and various welding tasks to repair chutes, liners, components and parts. Use of hoists, cranes, winches and rigging gear to safely move, lift and position heavy machinery components. This position works on a rotating schedule of 10 days on and 4 days off. The position does include per diem pay of $75.00 for each day on shift and working.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Completion of a formal industrial mechanic/millwright apprenticeship or technical trade certification preferred. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Strong proficiency with hand and power tools, precision devices, and welding equipment. Ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as understand technical manuals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance. MSHA certification or the ability to obtain prior to start.
