Turner Industries Group is seeking Maintenance Millwrights for nested long-term maintenance at a site in the Pasadena, TX area. There is no per diem or relocation available for this position - you need to be local to the Houston area. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, overhaul, and install rotating equipment, (especially ANSI and API centrifugal pumps) including: pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes, electric motors, fans and blowers. Previous maintenance experience is required. Regular 5 8's schedule Mon-Fri with some overtime Well-rounded, Safety-minded, NCCER preferred. Must have 4 years minimum work experience as a Millwright. Experience preferred, but not required, on the following: working on extruders, pumps, and poly cylindrical strand cutters. Thorough recordkeeping, including recording as-found and as-left clearances after a seal replacement or pump rebuild job Experience with single stage steam turbine maintenance is a plus. Background check and drug test required.

General Job Description:

Installs and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.

Functional Requirements:

Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment; assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
