Job Description
RJC Contracting Inc. is actively hiring a multi-skilled Facility Maintenance & Industrial Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on work, and a wide variety of projects. If you have experience in millwright work, welding, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, and equipment repair — we want to talk to you. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated technician with strong mechanical, electrical, fabrication, and industrial maintenance abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with: Machinery installation, repair, and troubleshooting Welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG/Stick preferred) Industrial electrical work with controls/PLC familiarity Hydraulics, HVAC/R, and mechanical systems Facility maintenance and general handyman-type repairs You'll work on a variety of equipment, support multiple job sites, and help ensure safe, efficient operations in commercial and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial machinery/equipment Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams Diagnose issues using precision instruments (ammeters, ohmmeters, diagnostic tools) Perform welding/fabrication and mechanical repairs using proper techniques Work with hydraulic systems, low/high voltage electrical systems, and HVAC/R components Support facility maintenance and handyman-level tasks as needed Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Assist with installation of new machinery, upgrades, and modifications Safely operate lifts, tools, and industrial equipment Collaborate with technical sales teams when customer support is needed Deliver high-quality workmanship with a strong customer service mindset Required Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Tech, or similar role Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and controls (preferred) Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick — per location standards) Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams Background in industrial electrician work is highly encouraged Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R, and industrial maintenance practices Experience using precision measuring tools (ammeters, ohmmeters, gauges) English fluency and strong customer service skills Reliable transportation and willingness to work OT when needed
