INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I
Starting hourly rate: $24, based on experience Hoover & Strong, founded in 1912, is a family-owned jewelry manufacturer and refiner. What You Will Be Doing:
Does a regular Monday-Friday day-shift schedule sound appealing? How about working in a supportive environment where everyone helps each other be the best they can be? This position will troubleshoot and repair hydraulic machinery, electrical equipment, pneumatics, pumps, compressors and motors. Maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment Your Day to
Day Might Include:
Trouble shooting and repairing machinery 75% Maintains and repairs existing plant equipment Identifies problems by observing machinery in operation; listening for problems; able to use precision measuring and testing instruments Manages plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to guarantee functionality; knowledge of Induction and Ammonia Furnaces a plus Fabricates and repairs parts by using machine shop equipment Observes Lean manufacturing principles by managing maintenance resources, using equipment and supplies on-hand to accomplish job results when possible Reports mechanical maintenance information to supervisor and communicates with others effectively Maintains a safe clean working environment in compliance with established procedures, rules, and regulations Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; has knowledge and is able to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Performs general maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned Preventative maintenance 25% Ensures reliable operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electrical motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; identifies and resolves malfunctions Controls and prevents downtime by teaching production workers routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance Coordinates with production team for maintenance of equipment; provides managers with consistent status updates on projects, from start to finish
What We're Looking For:
At least two years of documented experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is a must, electrical knowledge is an advantage Proven experience in equipment maintenance, technical understanding, basic safety, use and knowledge of power tools and equipment Knowledge of LO/TO is essential, certification an advantage Punctual, responsible, and with a positive attitude Must be able to quickly adapt to ongoing project changes in a fast-paced work environment.
