•Saturday ️ Key Responsibilities Install, align, and maintain heavy industrial machinery used in plywood production Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance Troubleshoot mechanical systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating equipment) Replace and repair components (gears, bearings, belts, chains, shafts) Align and calibrate machinery for optimal performance Fabricate and weld parts as needed Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Maintain dust collection and ventilation systems Assist with equipment upgrades and new installations Keep accurate maintenance logs and documentation Collaborate with maintenance and electrical teams Follow OSHA regulations and all safety procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives ✅ Qualifications & Skills 2-5+ years of millwright or industrial maintenance experience ( required ) Experience in plywood, lumber, or wood products mills preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience with motors, conveyors, presses, pumps, and gearboxes Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Welding/fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, Stick) preferred Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards Able to lift 50-75 lbs., climb, and perform physical work Must pass pre-employment screening Eligible to work in the U.S. Why Ascend Staffing?
