Job Description

SUMMARY Ensure all production machinery remains in safe and efficient operating condition by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed. Utilize strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer skills to support the maintenance and operation of the building, industrial equipment, and company vehicles. Diagnose equipment issues, minimize downtime, and contribute to overall production efficiency and workplace safety. Effectively utilize maintenance software to manage work orders, schedule preventative maintenance and track parts required for repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following work orders. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Order new parts as needed for machines. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Record maintenance and repair work performed. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Assemble new equipment. Assist in workstation development. Manufacture required jigs and/or workstations. Maintain facility both inside and outside. Plow, shovel, and sweep facility using a Bobcat and other equipment. Communicate with and assist other workers in work area. Follow good housekeeping practices. Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required. Identify and immediately correct any safety hazards in work area. Perform any other duties as assigned. Responsible for generating team spirit and creating and maintaining a personal attitude and work environment that fosters the highest level of employee cooperation, morale and satisfaction.
