What You'll Do:
The Die and Maintenance Welder is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and fabricating dies, tooling, machinery, and production equipment to support manufacturing operations. This position performs precision welding, metal fabrication, and preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure safe, efficient production. Key Responsibilities Repair damaged dies, fixtures, and tooling using MIG, TIG, Stick, Robotic or other welding processes. Perform maintenance welding on production equipment, machinery, and structural components. Fabricate replacement parts and machine components from blueprints, sketches, or specifications. Inspect dies and equipment for wear, cracks, and other defects. Operate grinders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, and other fabrication equipment. Assist maintenance technicians with equipment repairs and installations. Perform preventative maintenance on dies, tooling, and welding equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns as needed. Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Perform set-up and welding operations of the robotic welder to weld a variety of work with strict inspections and testing requirements Make compensating adjustments to allow for variations and conditions Read and interpret blueprints to perform operations Perform inspection operations per specifications Change fixtures, adjust and regulate the machine as needed to obtain the best possible penetration, fill, weld quality and performance

What We Need from
You:
  • 3-5 years of welding and industrial maintenance welding Experience repairing dies, tooling, or stamping equipment preferred.
  • Robotic Welder set up, operation and inspection
  • Demonstrate ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (prefer Tech School certificate)
  • Robotic welding experience Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and oxy-fuel cutting. Knowledge of metal properties, heat treatment, and welding procedures.
  • Basic machining and fabrication experience
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Training:
