Assembly Test Technician

  • Full-time Job Summary Perform hands‑on assembly, testing, tuning, and troubleshooting of RF electronic devices and assemblies.
Primary focus on die attach and wire bonding for RF chip and wire technologies. Support RF testing and tuning of assemblies operating from 10 MHz to 18 GHz. Core Responsibilities Perform die attach operations, including physical mounting of RF die. Execute wire bonding to create electrical connections between RF die and assemblies. Lead RF testing operations on complex RF electronic devices and assemblies. Perform testing, tuning, and biasing of chip and wire RF technologies and catalog amplifiers. Conduct RF measurements across 10 MHz to 18 GHz.
Apply RF measurement techniques for:
Gain Gain flatness Return loss P1dB IP3 Phase tracking Noise figure VSWR Utilize DC theory (Ohm's Law) and RF theory for troubleshooting. Operate and calibrate RF and DC test equipment, including: DC power supplies RF signal generators Network analyzers Scalar analyzers Follow ESD control procedures during assembly and test activities. Support continuous improvement activities within RF test operations. Ensure devices meet defined performance requirements. Required Technical Skills and Experience Demonstrated proficiency in die attach processes. Demonstrated proficiency in wire bonding techniques. Experience testing and tuning RF electronic assemblies. Experience working with RF devices up to 18 GHz. Working knowledge of RF measurement parameters and test methods. Experience using RF and DC laboratory test equipment. Applied knowledge of DC theory and RF theory. Preferred Qualifications Experience tuning RF thin film circuits. Leadership or mentoring experience. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
