SENIOR THREAT SIMULATION ENGINEER MGTF
J-PRIMES, Eglin Air Force Base, FL Open Position Request Number

Senior Threat Simulation Engineer GRADE:
Exempt, Full-time
REPORTS TO
Supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Candidate must be able to work independently to resolve moderately difficult tasks with occasional support and consultation with senior level personnel.
GENERAL DUTIES
Support and conduct technical activities required to achieve the
J-PRIMES
test mission including RADAR target and ECM generation, threat emitter simulation, EMI measurements, EMC measurements/testing, RADAR cross section (RCS) measurement, communication/navigation noise floor measurement, GPS testing, and antenna pattern measurements. Provide subject matter expertise on RF threat test and measurement techniques and methods applicable to installed system test and component level configurations. Provide RF threat subject matter expertise to convert Electronic Warfare database intelligence data into test specific threat laydown and emitter specifications. Familiarity with OPANA software is desired. Validate emission waveforms by comparison with intelligence data descriptions and sources. Program, set up, operate, and maintain unique complex threat environment generators to meet test specific threat requirements. Design and implement complex instrumentation set-ups to capture real time RF emissions on installed system test sources, component level sources, and actual threat systems as available. Analyze emitter waveform data to validate the test provides threat representative emission. Maintain awareness/cognizance of current and emerging test and data collection techniques for Electronic Warfare. Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates Degree in Electronics with 10+ years' direct experience with RF simulators and three (3) years' experience operating and programming RF systems.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a Top Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Must meet requirements to operate in enhanced security environments. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Promotes company Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of work is in an environmentally controlled control room or maintenance room environment with occasional work in an aircraft hangar, and/or anechoic chamber(s).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required to lift loads as heavy as 75 pounds. Position requires crawling, bending, stooping, and working in various awkward positions.
