Temp-to-Hire About the Industry Join an innovative technology company developing next-generation security screening and threat-detection systems. The organization specializes in advanced RF, millimeter-wave imaging, and AI-powered technology used to detect concealed weapons and other threats in aviation, government, and commercial security environments. Position Summary The RF Test Technician performs hands-on RF and electrical testing at the component, PCB, subsystem, and system levels. This role supports hardware validation, troubleshooting, system bring-up, calibration, and repeatable RF testing while working closely with engineering and production teams. Responsibilities Test and troubleshoot RF components, PCB assemblies, modules, subsystems, and complete systems. Perform RF measurements using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, power supplies, and multimeters. Execute engineering test plans and validate new designs and hardware revisions. Troubleshoot hardware using schematics, RF block diagrams, test points, and in-circuit measurements. Diagnose RF signal paths including cables, connectors, amplifiers, switches, antennas, and RF modules. Support prototype/system bring-up, integration, and calibration. Install/configure firmware and software and execute test applications or scripts. Collect and document test data, failures, and results. Support automated testing using Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools. Maintain test procedures, fixtures, cables, adapters, and lab equipment. Qualifications Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, RF/Microwave Technology, or equivalent training/experience. 5+ years of hands-on RF/electronics testing and troubleshooting experience. RF measurement experience through K-band or higher frequencies. Hands-on experience with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Understanding of dB/dBm, gain, attenuation, impedance, return loss, S-parameters, and RF signal paths. Ability to read schematics, RF block diagrams, and wiring diagrams. Board- and subsystem-level troubleshooting experience. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux. Preferred Radar, microwave, UWB, or mmWave experience. Antenna/RF subsystem testing and calibration. Python, LabVIEW, or automated instrument-control experience. FPGA or microcontroller-based systems experience. Prototype, NPI, or production test experience.
